Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said the state is witnessing improvements in economic activity as government projects create employment opportunities and put money into the hands of residents.

Speaking at a town hall meeting on ARISE TV, Adeleke said funds allocated to development projects in the state were being spent within Osun, with local workers and businesses benefiting from the various projects being executed by his administration.

According to the governor, the impact of government spending is gradually “trickling down” to residents through employment and business opportunities created by ongoing projects.

Adeleke also highlighted infrastructure development, particularly road construction and public lighting projects, as some of the areas where his administration has focused its attention.

The governor said his administration had installed solar and street lights across several parts of the state, describing the transformation of Osogbo at night as an example of the impact of the lighting projects.

“I am the light, and when light comes, darkness vanishes,” Adeleke said while describing his

administration’s approach to development in Osun.

He said improved lighting was not only intended to beautify communities but also to support businesses that operate into the night by creating a brighter environment for commercial activities.

“Take Osogbo as a case study. Everywhere is lit up with solar light, making it beautiful. Our people that are doing business, they stay late, among others,” the governor said.

Adeleke expressed appreciation to residents for their support, while also thanking workers involved in the state’s development projects and members of the media for what he described as fair and balanced reporting.

The governor further thanked residents of Osun State and Nigerians who had supported his administration, assuring the people that more development projects were still on the way.

“More goodies are on the way. I love you all,” Adeleke said.

The governor’s comments come as his administration continues to showcase infrastructure projects, including road construction and public lighting, as part of its development agenda for Osun State.
