VDM Reacts to EFCC Petition Allegations with Activist-Lawyer Deji Adeyanju

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse has spoken about a petition reportedly submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) calling for an investigation into him and his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.

In a video released online, VDM said the petition accused him and his lawyer of possible involvement in terrorism financing and money laundering.

According to him, the person behind the petition claimed that the protests and campaigns against poor governance in Nigeria were allegedly sponsored by individuals or groups outside the country and requested that their financial records be checked.

VDM also said the petition questioned the source of funding for his youth empowerment activities, where young Nigerians are supported to learn skills and improve their livelihoods.

Reacting to the development, VDM identified the petitioner as Blessing Agbomhere., whom he described as an All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives aspirant from Etsako Federal Constituency in Edo State.

He alleged that the petition was connected to political interests, noting that both he and the petitioner are from the same area in Edo State.

VDM further shared details about the petitioner’s political activities, claiming that Blessing had previously engaged with local residents during campaign activities.

The activist said he was prepared to honour any invitation from the EFCC and allow the agency to conduct its investigation.

The EFCC and the person named in VDM’s video have not publicly responded to the claims at the time of this report.
